mumford and sons. my favorite band of all time. seeing them was a dream come true, especially in such an amazing venue. thinking about the experience i had at this concert makes me a little teary because i have such an emotional and spiritual connection with their music and i felt truly alive and happy during their show. that may sound a little cheesy for those who don't really really love a band/music, but for those of you who do, i know you know what i'm talking about!
oh, this is us just passing the time with some selfies during dropkick murphys - who i hated by the way. so much yelling, so little singing. then it was time for the concert i had been waiting for! we went down and got a really great spot, where we anxiously waited for them to come on stage!
a fav of mine.
awake my soul is one of both mine and isaac's favorite songs. my favorite lyric says, "in these bodies we will live, in these bodies we will die. where you invest your love, you invest your life." during this song i got teary, just thinking about my friend brynn and how much she had taught me during her short life. she lived life to the fullest and at that moment i knew i was doing something that she would have loved to do. i was really grateful isaac convinced me to come to the festival, because five years ago i probably wouldn't have. we almost didn't make the trip because we had been saving for a home and i was so grateful we put that aside and decided to do something we might never get the chance to do. my soul felt truly alive at this concert and i was so happy. it was good i got a big dose of happiness and reassurance about life because a few days later my cousin brian was in his accident and that rocked my world.
this was the best concert of my life. i fear nothing will ever top this...and if it doesn't, that is okay.
for isaac's bday i bought him mumford and son's dvd the road to red rocks. we watched it on his bday and it is so so good. the show they put on there was very similar to sasquatch so it was fun to watch and relive the memories. if you are a mumford fan, you need a copy! red rocks in colorado is the next amazing concert venue we hope to visit. have any of you ever been there?!
only one more day of sasquatch left! so sad. day three was definitely my favorite.
day one here.
day two here.
day three part one here.
