books of two thousand twelve.

i read a lot last year!!  holy cow!  my goal was to read 24 books {2/month} and i read 33!  a huge reason i read so much more than the year before was that i listened to 13 of the 33 while driving.  i didn't think i would like audio books but i have loved the majority of them.  i have had to stop listening to a few because i can't stand the narrator, but for the most part they've all been winners.  the library is my best friend.  a few of the books were also re-reads {the hunger games series, to kill a mockingbird, the giver, the great gatsby}.

these were my top 5 favorite new reads:

an invisible thread by laura schroff.

the last lecture by randy pausch.

the fault in our stars by john green.

the art of racing in the rain by garth stein.

make the bread, buy the butter by jennifer reese.

it was really hard to pick my favorites.  this year my goal is to read 40 books.  we'll see if i can do it...  any recommendations?!
